Purchase second and third slots for crafting and smelting. They can be used to purchase build plots and boosts, and speed up crafting and smelting tasks. The game has been confirmed to have microtransactions, with the in-game currency being Rubies (not to be confused with Minecoins). Crafting and smelting take time, sometimes several minutes or even hours depending on the item. While a player can build upward and dig downward, a player cannot climb or descend unless a real-world structure is available this effectively makes the game two-dimensional. There are no armor slots nor armor, and the inventory is unaffected by death due to it being unaccessible during adventures. There is no inventory crafting grid, nor is there a way to repair damaged items by combining them. The inventory is unlimited, both in slots and the stack size of items or blocks. Differences from regular Minecraftĭifferences between the Java and Bedrock Editions and Minecraft Earth include: Buildplates can be 8x8, 16x16, or 32x32 blocks in size, and the build height limit is 221 blocks. They can vary in size, reaching up to 200 feet (60 meters). They can be shared, and worked on by invited individuals. Build Platesīuild plates are worlds that players can use to build on. When playing with others items can be traded with each other. Players can gather items together in a party or alone. PVP is confirmed to be disabled or not implemented. In parties, players can collect materials and share them with the other players. In a party, all players need to be near each other for interactions, which are live such as building, mining, or attacking. Players can either travel alone or walk around with invited friends in their party. In this mode, players have health and hunger, with hunger affecting the player's reach distance, and can severely limit how far they can mine or attack. Players can fight mobs, collect additional resources that are unavailable in tappables, and collect rewards. Adventures are similar to the survival mode aspect of Minecraft. 
AdventureĪdventures can appear on the map but can also be spawned in using Adventure Crystals. This was no longer the case following the announcement of the game's discontinuation. It was announced that the Nether and the End had been planned for the game in a future update.
Minecraft Earth requires an Xbox Live account. This version of the game is built on the Bedrock Engine. This version of Minecraft features many unique aspects and interactions similar to the main game, and is not a port of an existing game but rather an adaptation of the Bedrock and Java Editions. Multiple types of tappables exist, including stone, grass, chests, and mobs. If a tappable is within a player's collection range, they can tap it and collect items. Scattered around the map are various tappables – instant mine resources that help the player along their journey. In the map view, players can see their character, which can be changed with the skins owned from the Marketplace. In Minecraft Earth, players can build structures with other players and "place them in the real world at life-size".
